1. Who we are

SWEN.live (swen.live) is an independent news portal covering artificial intelligence — benchmarks, rankings, analysis and tools. Operated by an individual based in Brazil.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the portal:

  • Browsing data: pages visited, session duration, traffic source — collected anonymously via Google Analytics 4 for audience analysis.
  • Email: when you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send updates.
  • Cookies: we use session cookies (necessary) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can decline analytics cookies without affecting your browsing experience.

We do not collect sensitive data, financial data, nor do we create individual behavioral profiles.

3. How we use your data

  • Analyze portal performance and improve content
  • Send the newsletter, when requested
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Legal basis

Data processing is based on:

  • Legitimate interest — audience analysis for content improvement
  • Consent — for newsletter delivery (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); Brazil LGPD Art. 7, I)
  • Legal obligation — when required by law

We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Brazilian LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Law No. 13.709/2018).

7. Data retention

Analytics data (Google Analytics): retained for 14 months, per default configuration. Newsletter emails: retained while the subscription is active. After cancellation, removed within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use two types of cookies:

  • Necessary: essential for the portal to function. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, for audience measurement. You can block them in your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out extension.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made. Significant changes will be communicated via newsletter.
