About SWEN.live

The reference platform for AI benchmarks and rankings

What is SWEN.live

SWEN.live is an independent platform dedicated to covering the artificial intelligence ecosystem. We aggregate news, technical analyses, model comparisons, and tool rankings so that professionals and companies can make informed AI decisions with transparent, up-to-date data.

What We Publish

  • News — daily coverage of the most important AI developments: model launches, research, market movements, and regulation.
  • Model Benchmark — ranking with ELO data (Chatbot Arena), intelligence index, inference speed, and cost per token, updated weekly.
  • Tools Directory — over 5.350+ AI tools cataloged and reviewed, with pricing and feature comparisons.
  • Guides & Tutorials — practical content for using AI at work and in business.
  • Comparisons — side-by-side analyses of the main models and tools for specific use cases.

Our Methodology

Our model rankings combine data from sources recognized by the AI community — such as Chatbot Arena (LMSYS) and Artificial Analysis — with objective cost and speed metrics. We do not accept payment from vendors to alter ranking positions.

For more details on how we calculate scores, see our methodology page.

Editorial Independence

SWEN.live is not affiliated with any AI company. Our reviews and rankings are based exclusively on public data and our own testing. When we publish sponsored content or partnerships, it is clearly labeled.

Our Story

SWEN.live was born in 2024 from the realization that the market lacked an independent, technically rigorous source for tracking the explosion of AI models and tools. At the time, the main reference portals were all in English, and information about pricing, performance, and multilingual capabilities was fragmented or nonexistent.

We started with a manual benchmark of 20 models and a weekly newsletter. Within months, we evolved into a platform with 550++ ranked LLMs, 5.350+ cataloged tools, and daily editorial coverage.

Editorial Process

All content published on SWEN.live follows a three-step process:

  1. Fact-checking — primary sources (papers, official announcements, technical documentation) are verified before any publication. For market news, we require at least two independent sources.
  2. Technical review — content about benchmarks and model specs is reviewed by the analysis team to ensure numerical accuracy.
  3. Continuous updates — rankings are recalculated weekly as new ELO, Intelligence Index, and pricing data becomes available. Outdated articles receive a revision note with the date of the last update.

Corrections Policy

Made a mistake? We fix it transparently. When we identify or receive a report of a factual error, we apply the correction and add an editorial note at the bottom of the article describing what was corrected and when. For significant errors, we publish a separate correction notice.

To report an error or outdated information, send an email to contato@swen.ia.br with the subject "Correction" and the content link. We respond within 48 hours.

Source Selection Criteria

For benchmark data, we prioritize sources with public, reproducible methodology:

  • ELO (LMArena / Chatbot Arena) — human preference ranking, methodology published by UC Berkeley / LMSYS
  • Intelligence Index (Artificial Analysis) — weighted average of academic benchmarks (MMLU, GPQA, HumanEval, MATH)
  • Pricing & latency— collected via OpenRouter API and verified monthly against each vendor's official pages

We do not use benchmarks with known contamination or evaluations sponsored by vendors themselves without explicit disclosure.

Editorial Team

SWEN.live is produced by a team of journalists and analysts specialized in technology and artificial intelligence. Meet the editorial profiles:

  • SWEN.live Newsroom — Daily AI news coverage team
  • SWEN.live Analysis — Team responsible for benchmarks and technical comparisons
  • Luis Fernando Roquette — Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Economist, certified in Business Strategy from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). Writes about strategy, enterprise AI adoption, and the economic impact of artificial intelligence.
