Editorial Policy

Principles and criteria that guide SWEN.live's coverage

Mission

SWEN.live's mission is to be the go-to reference for artificial intelligence — with independent coverage, rigorous technical analyses and benchmarks based on primary data. We produce content for professionals, developers, managers and enthusiasts who need to understand the AI ecosystem without commercial filters.

Editorial Independence

SWEN.live does not accept sponsored content disguised as editorial. All coverage is produced based on genuine journalistic interest, not commercial agreements with AI companies.

  • No company pays to appear in rankings or benchmarks
  • Commercial relationships (display advertising, if any) are clearly identified
  • Writers and analysts have no stake in covered companies
  • Benchmark data is extracted from public primary sources (LMArena, Artificial Analysis)

Publication Criteria

To be published on SWEN.live, content must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Relevance: directly impacts the AI market or users
  • Novelty: information not widely available
  • Technical accuracy: verifiable data with identifiable primary source
  • Educational value: helps the reader make better decisions about AI

News about companies, models or tools is based on official press releases, scientific papers, developer posts or top-tier journalistic sources (The Verge, TechCrunch, Wired, Ars Technica, MIT Technology Review).

Benchmark Methodology

SWEN.live's rankings and comparisons are based on data extracted from primary sources:

  • ELO (Chatbot Arena): collected from LMArena based on human side-by-side voting, the most robust benchmark in the industry
  • Intelligence Index: extracted from Artificial Analysis composite score from multiple cognitive benchmarks
  • Pricing: manually verified on official company websites and via OpenRouter
  • Speed and latency: measured in a controlled environment by the analysis team

Corrections and Updates

When we identify a factual error, we correct the content immediately and add a correction note with the date of the change. We do not delete articles with errors — transparency is fundamental to editorial credibility.

Use of AI in the Newsroom

SWEN.live uses AI tools as editorial assistants — source triaging, draft generation, paper summaries. All published content undergoes human editorial review before publication. We do not publish raw AI outputs without curation.

We believe AI is an editorial amplification tool, not a substitute for journalistic judgment. This stance is aligned with E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) from Google Search Quality Guidelines.
